Furthermore, there are a few things you can try to speed up your internet connection:

1. Check your setup, if your router’s wires are all connected and if any updating caused such problem
2. Put it on a top place and make sure it’s not blocked by any furniture
3. Electrical appliances like microwaves and cordless phones can disrupt Wi-Fi signals, so keep your router away from them
4. Disconnect devices you aren't using
5. Update your devices’ software and apps on regular basis
6. All wireless routers broadcast Wi-Fi signals on a channel. If any of these channels get too busy e.g., neighbor’s router is broadcasting on the same channel as yours, it can slow your internet down. So, change your channel.
